Pakistani Student Association

This upcoming Tuesday, May 29th, the Pakistani Student Association will be hosting a kite flying festival. The festival starts at five and will continue until seven. Alice in Wonderland

Musical

A new musical interpretation of Alice in Wonderland will have its first public performance on Wednesday 30th May at the University of Twente's open air theatre. There will be eight performances between 30th May and 10th June. Tickets cost between four and eight Euros. The Dreinerburght Hotel is offering special rates for those attending the performance.

Green Vibrations 2012

Green Vibrations

On 17th May, the 2012 Green Vibrations Festival will take place on the University of Twente Campus. The Carillonveld will be turned into a giant picnic-field with four different stages, where fifty different acts will perform between 14:00 and 24:00. There is music for everybody: from metal to hiphop, from disco to dance and everything in between.

The Student Union has organised a training day especially for international students. Delivered by leading company Blooming, the training will help students with their CV, social media and personal presentation. It will focus on helping international students to understand Dutch working practices when applying for a job or internship.

It's the head office of a student initiative, which organises regular events there. One of these is a vegan/vegetarian night every Tuesday.

Legionella bacteria found in showers

Sports Centre closed

Routine testing today have confirmed the presence of Legionella bacteria in the showers of the University of Twente (UT) Sports Centre. As a precautionary measure the Sports Centre has been immediately closed and will remain so today and tomorrow, in order to allow cleaning of the building water system and installation of new showers.
